According to anonymous sources, Engadget reports the Nintendo Wii may experience a price cut this spring. This is a welcome relief to game developers and deal hunters alike, as the Wii is nearing the tail end of its ride to glory. Of course, this does not come as a surprise to most since Nintendo posted a loss last year, the first in seven years. On top of that, both Sony and Microsoft have released motion-directed controllers and games that shadow nearly all the Wii’s capabilities. Although $150 is probable in the near future, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a $99 price tag by the fall.
