Today, Hewlett-Packard announced their intention to kill off the newly released, abysmally selling TouchPad along with other devices that run the WebOS operating system, in what appears to be a case of too little, too late. Unfortunately for HP, Apple released a similar tablet more than a year earlier, attracting valuable developers who built an application library that will forever be a year more mature than HP’s. This leaves a sour taste in the mouths of many who purchased the device hoping to use it for years to come with an ever growing library of apps. On the bright side, deal hunters will be happy to know that the tablets will probably be on sale for half the original price ($499) or better, meaning you’ll be able to pick up a web browsing tablet for under $250. Not bad!
HP Kills TouchPad and Smartphones, WebOS Left for Dead

HP may have decided to terminate its webOS devices but that doesn’t mean existing tablets that have already been built will magically disappear. They’ve decided to get rid of the existing tablets the fastest way they know how to – by having a fire sale @$100! Hope they keep supporting the product.
Best Buy, Future Shop, The Source, London Drugs, and Staples will be selling the 16GB TouchPad for $100, and the 32GB version for $150 starting tomorrow. Is this is good bargain even if this product is getting phased out?? Would you guys advise to get this model?
